FOUNDER: 

Nicia was born and raised in Guinea-Bissau, West Africa, and completed her secondary education in Portugal. She later moved to the United Kingdom, where she earned a Bachelor’s degree in Business Management and a Master’s degree in International Public Health from the University of Leeds.
Coming from a fashion-forward family, Nicia grew up surrounded by vibrant fabrics and colorful designs created by her mother, aunts, and grandmother. Inspired from an early age, she began developing her own creative skills by attending Saturday school to learn basic sewing and crochet. She went on to make kitchen accessories and crochet pieces for her family home — the first steps in what would become her journey as a fashion designer.
MADE INSIDE was launched in December 2018 to great success. Drawing on her lifelong sewing and crochet expertise, along with a deep passion for fashion, Nicia introduced her bold and expressive line of kaleidoscopic African print clothing to the market.
Her collections beautifully blend African prints with contemporary Western silhouettes, creating a distinctive fusion of cultures and styles. This thoughtful combination makes MADE INSIDE women’s clothing suitable for both professional settings and social occasions — designed for work, celebration, and everyday confidence.
